Composer’s Note
Two threads join this body to the human spirit: a word and the rhythm assigned to it. I
specify these two elements because they belong not to a cosmic certitude, but to human
verity. The Music of the End is where all is forever erased, where all becomes infinite silence.

Deux fils relient ce corps à l’être humain : un mot, celui-ci accordé à un rythme. Ces deux
éléments je les ai définis parce qu’ils appartenaient non pas à la vérité cosmologique mais
bien à la vérité humaine. C’est la musique de la fin où tout s’efface à jamais, où tout
devient infini silence.
Anmerkung des Komponisten
Zwei Fäden verbinden diesen Körper mit dem menschlichen Sein: ein Wort, dieses einem
Rhythmus zugeordnet. Ich definiere diese zwei Element, da sie nicht zu kosmischer
Wahrheit gehören, sondern zu menschlicher. Musik für das Ende ist, wo alles für immer
verloren ist, wo alles zu unendlicher Stille wird.
