24 InstallationInstallation ENG 42Extension Input (Operation in Parallel - s. Figs. 2and 3)The Memory Pushbutton Controller can be operated viathe extension. In this context, the following is to be noted:– The maximum line length depends on the maximumpermissible ripplevoltage at the extension inputs.However, the ripple voltage must not exceed 100 V (inpractice, this corresponds to line lengths of at least100 m).– The number of pushbuttons (e.g., 2020US) is unlimitedin the case of a line length of 100 m.– Illuminated pushbuttons (e.g., 2020USGL) can only beused with N.– Contact-parallel illumination is not permissible.– In order to avoid undesired switching operations, donot combine the control and load lines in one cable.The phase of supply input "L" must be thesame as the control phase for extensioninput "1" (see Figs. 2 and 3).
