About
I am an abstract expressionist painter. I create works based
on memories or smaller specific inspirations that deserve a
moment to feel big and beautiful. I also move to sound, so am
deeply influenced by the music or environment I am creating
in. I have been lucky to have a strong commission base
getting to interpret others stories. I am now creating work for
clients all over the world: from New York to LA, Israel, London,
Canada, South Africa, and Australia. My work has been
created live for audiences during my original performance
piece UNTITLED ’54 about the life of Helen Frankenthaler
which was in residence at The New Ohio Theater as well as
various weddings in which I captured the heart and energy of
the day at venues such as Handsome Hollow and The Kester
Homestead. WOMXN IN POWER, my original sketch series,
was exhibited at the 14th Street Y in Manhattan, as well as
in the New York Art Fair, Teal Canvas, Gallery 104 in SoHo. I
also create murals and collaborations for locations like Joe’s
Coffee, Brooklyn Grange, Playwrights Horizons Downtown,
Hosh Yoga, West Elm and more.
Paintings / Photography
At first, I was creating a 30x40” painting a day. it was work
that felt more like a diary, something to capture my day to
day experiences as well a way to let go of perfection; a way
to challenge my self to take that extra step or to not be afraid
of creating simpler works, too. After 15 works, I switched over
to a photography project, photographing my body up close,
using a 45mm lens and tried to see how I could capture my
body as a landscape.
