project is entering its final year.
Another example, the Oasis project
consists of creating an eco-system
capable of supporting, generating
and carrying out the development
of multi-functional products based
on nanotechnologies. As part of the
Hyprod approach aimed at supporting
manufacturers throughout the smart
composite development chain, IPC is
pooling two pilot (pre-production)
lines, one installed on the Oyonnax site
for a hybrid plastic-composite process,
the other in Laval on an RTM process.
In the field of 3D printing, IPC is not
to be outdone. Historically specialized
in the manufacture of metal additives
on tools, the technical center has just
launched a joint venture with Addup, a
French specialist in the sector formed
by Fives and Michelin. The purpose of
this structure is to produce metal parts
for industrial tools. In the field of 3D
plastic printing this time, IPC is involved
in Printer; operational since last
year, the platform has already acquired
a machine for printing hybrid polymer
and composite fasteners. ●
