Announcements.AffordancesWe added announcement and news panelso that we can keep the user updated aboutmajor happenings regarding the university.As myUFL is visited frequently, and there is already an implementationregarding news and announcements in the old version home screen,we thought of improving the form factor and adding color cues andvisual aid (pictures) to the news to make it more affordances.Added conventional used icons (cues) so that importantannouncements can be distinguished. We simplified the format of news,only provided title and pictures as a concise abstract to avoidoverwhelming. Items can be clickable to redirect them to the newsspecific link to know more.Result: People are now less likely to miss-out on importantannouncements and news regarding UF.
