Focus Statement and Interview Guides
Since myUFL is a website for online self-services, we narrowed down our interview focus to user
experience on online self-services. We started with learning information from users themselves,
such as their role in UF and their daily internet usage behavior. These questions are supposed to
bring interviewees to our topic. Then, we brought more questions regarding their online
self-service experience. Specifically, our second focus statement explored what information that
the interviewee is looking for during their experience on the online self-service websites, and the
third focus statement investigated the way that the users like to access the services. Finally, we
had a brief supplementary section that introduced the myUFL to our interviewees and asked for
their opinions on the product.
Following is a detailed interview guide. For each focus statement, we listed correlated interview
goals each. And for each interview goal, we came with several interview questions.
