Jabatan PERHILITAN dengan kerjasama ASEAN-WEN telah menganjurkan program <strong>Wildlife</strong> Forensics Training<br />
Workshop pada 2 hingga 6 Ogos <strong>2010</strong> di Ibu Pejabat Jabatan PERHILITAN dan dirasmikan oleh Y.Bhg. Dato’<br />
Abd. Rasid bin Samsudin. Bengkel ini bertujuan memberi pendedahan kepada peserta mengenai kaedah-kaedah<br />
forensik yang digunakan dalam penyiasatan kes penyeludupan hidupan liar. Peserta terdiri daripada pegawai/<br />
wakil dari negara-negara ASEAN seperti Thail<strong>and</strong>, Filipina, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia dan Singapura. Bidang<br />
yang dipelajari sepanjang kursus ini adalah identifikasi spesies, pengumpulan sampel dan rantaian bahan bukti<br />
dan tatacara menggunakan bukti semasa pendakwaan.<br />
<strong>Wildlife</strong> Forensics Training Workshop was organized by DWNP with the collaboration <strong>of</strong> ASEAN-WEN on 2 nd to 6 th<br />
August <strong>2010</strong> at DWNP Headquarter <strong>and</strong> it was <strong>of</strong>ficiated by Y.Bhg. Dato’ Abd. Rasid bin Samsudin. The workshop<br />
was held to expose to the participants on the forensic methods used in wildlife crime investigation. The participants<br />
included <strong>of</strong>ficers/ representatives from ASEAN countries such as Thail<strong>and</strong>, Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar,<br />
Malaysia <strong>and</strong> Singapore. Species identification, sample collection, the chain <strong>of</strong> custody <strong>and</strong> procedure to use<br />
evidence during prosecution were among the fields learnt in the programme.<br />
