Pemantauan populasi liar Enggang Belantara (Aceros subruficollis)<br />
Population monitoring <strong>of</strong> Plain-pouched Hornbill (Aceros subruficollis)<br />
Program tinjauan Enggang Belantara dijalankan dengan kerjasama Persatuan Pencinta Alam Malaysia (MNS) di HS<br />
Temenggor, Perak. Ianya bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti arah terbangan dan tempat bermalam spesies tersebut.<br />
Mengikut rekod terdahulu, Enggang Belantara paling banyak direkodkan pada bulan Jun dan Julai.<br />
Reconnaissance programme <strong>of</strong> Plain-pouched Hornbill was carried out in collaboration with Malaysian Nature<br />
Society (MNS) in Temenggor FR, Perak. This survey aimed to identify the flyway <strong>and</strong> the roosting site <strong>of</strong> the<br />
species. According to previous records, month <strong>of</strong> June <strong>and</strong> July were the highest <strong>of</strong> Plain-pouched Hornbill recorded.<br />
Bancian Burung-burung Air Asia (AWCS)<br />
Asian Water Birds Census Survey (AWCS)<br />
Bancian burung-burung Air Asia (AWCS) dijalankan setiap tahun dengan kerjasama antara Jabatan PERHILITAN<br />
dan MNS. Tinjauan dilakukan di HS Paya Laut Matang, Perak untuk merekodkan spesies dan populasi burung air<br />
yang berhijrah. Sejumlah 24 spesies (1,427 burung) dalam empat kumpulan utama jenis burung air telah berjaya<br />
direkodkan sepanjang tiga hari persampelan (Jadual 16).<br />
The Asian Water Birds Census Survey (AWCS) were carried out annually in collaboration between DWNP <strong>and</strong><br />
MNS. The reconnaissance was conducted in Paya Laut Matang FR, Perak to record migratory bird species <strong>and</strong> its<br />
population. A total <strong>of</strong> 24 species (1,427 birds) in four main water bird groups were recorded throughout three days<br />
sampling (Table 16).<br />
