Sg. Ketiar Elephant Sanctuary
Aktiviti pengayaan habitat di Santuari Gajah
Sungai Ketiar melibatkan pengayaan jenut dan
pemasangan perangkap kamera di Viaduct 1, 2
dan 3. Ini merupakan kesinambungan aktiviti yang
telah dijalankan sebelum ini. Sebanyak 160 kg
garam blok digunakan dalam aktiviti pengkayaan
jenut. Sebanyak tiga perangkap kamera telah
dipasang di kesemua viaduct dan empat
spesies hidupan liar telah berjaya dirakamkan.
Gajah merupakan spesies yang paling banyak
dirakamkan. Selain daripada itu, Tapir, Babi
Hutan dan juga Kijang (Muntiacus muntjac) turut
berjaya dirakamkan.
Habitat enrichment activities in Sungai Ketiar
involve enriching salt licks and camera trapping in
Viaduct 1, 2 and 3. These are continous activities
from the previous years. A total of 160 kg mineral
blocks were added to the salt licks. Three camera
traps were set up at all three viaducts. Four wildlife
species were recorded with the Elephant recorded
the highest. In addition, the Tapir, Wild Boar and
Barking Deer (Muntiacus muntjac) were also
