Generalidades ADVERTÊNCIA! Antes de utilizar a máquina, o utilizador deve ler e compreender este manual de funcionamento na íntegra e o manual de funcionamento do motor fornecido com o mesmo. Queira familiarizar-se com a máquina antes da utilização e funcionamento! INSTRUÇÕES DE SEGURANÇA O utilizador deve usar um equipamento de protecção individual e vestuário adaptado ao trabalho a efectuar. É obrigatória a utilização do equipamento de protecção individual, nomeadamente a protecção dos olhos e dos ouvidos. A área de trabalho deve estar completamente liberta, bem iluminada e sem elementos que constituam um risco para a segurança. Todas as pessoas que não estejam directamente envolvidas no trabalho devem abandonar a área. ADVERTÊNCIA! Não tocar na ferramenta quando a máquina estiver em funcionamento. Segurança sobre o carburante: ADVERTÊNCIA! Manipular o carburante com precaução. Ter em conta os riscos de incêndio, de explosão e de inalação de vapores. • Armazenar o carburante exclusivamente nos recipientes previstos para esse efeito. • Efectuar o enchimento de carburante unicamente com o motor DESLIGADO (OFF). Nunca retirar a tampa do depósito e encher o depósito de carburante com o motor em funcionamento. • Efectuar sempre o enchimento de carburante numa área bem ventilada. • Nunca encher o depósito de carburante dentro de um recinto fechado. • Deixar arrefecer o motor antes de efectuar o enchimento de carburante. Nunca encher a máquina de carburante na proximidade de chamas ou de faíscas. Não utilizar a máquina na proximidade de uma área inflamável. Não fumar durante o enchimento de carburante ou a utilização da máquina. • Afastar a máquina cerca de 3 metros (10 pés) da área onde tiver sido efectuado o enchimento de carburante antes de pôr o motor a funcionar. • Nunca pôr a máquina em funcionamento sob as condições seguintes: 1) Se tiver sido derramado carburante sobre a máquina. Limpar o carburante derramado e deixar que o resto do carburante se evapore. 2) Se tiver sido derramado carburante sobre o vestuário ou sobre o utilizador. Lavar com água e sabão todas as partes do corpo que tenham entrado em contacto com o carburante. 3) Se a máquina tiver uma fuga de carburante. Verificar regularmente se existem fugas da tampa do depósito ou das condutas de carburante. • Armazenar e transportar a máquina e o carburante de maneira que não exista o risco de qualquer fuga ou de vapores de carburante entrarem em contacto com chamas ou faíscas, nomeadamente de máquinas ou motores eléctricos, relés e interruptores eléctricos, ou caldeiras. 111
