DAVID SHAH A GLANCE TO SUMMER 2016 View Team and David Shah’s trend for the summer of 2016. Keywords: energy and optimism After seasons dominated by uncertainty, we return to look towards the future with a positive attitude. A Weltanshauung, which is reflected in fashion trends, is a sign of the times. David Shah of Fashion View, one of the most accredited trend bureaus in the industry, has identified six themes that will develop the fashion proposals for the summer of 2016, which will be explained in the upcoming edition of Mare di Moda, next November in Cannes. The word to look out for is Energy Boost, burst of energy, which implies the great return of color and of a sort of indulgence for designers and consumers, a general “softening” of the strict rules that have dominated the last few years. A type of celebration for the recovery and for what determines this: the society which softens and smoothes out differences, mixes and encompasses everything and everyone in a multicultural world, where there are no boundaries. In a general burst of energy six trends have been defined, four for swimwear and two for bodywear. Swim Celebration - Jungle Fever a euphoric drum beat of Africainspired frenzy, full of colour, clashing designs and boldly mixed patterns. Swim Glam - Rave Couture red-carpet elegance with a modern, racy twist and op art inspired illusionary patterning. Swim Performance - Memphis Sport active performance suits, sporty leisure swimwear, colour blocking and geometric, sculptural, body architecture. Swim Tech - Brutal Glam futuristic garment engineering for the powerful, heroic and fierce intergalactic new age woman. Body Sensuality – Artist’s Garden romantic, bohemian artist’s atelier with arts and craft era suggestiveness. Body Smart – Sensory – Contouring and supporting curves, smoothing and caring for the body. Let the party begin! 64
