Biografia:<br />

The award-winning painter, illustrator and<br />

author Astrid Jacobs works and resides in<br />

Germany. She graduated from the Art<br />

Academy in Hamburg, Germany. Aside from<br />

her fine-art career, Ms. Jacobs had a<br />

prosperous professional life as a publisher,<br />

illustrator, writer and art director at<br />

renowned businesses including Gruner & Jahr<br />

in Germany and Andresen Company. She<br />

exhibits her artwork internationally<br />

throughout Slovakia, Italy, Austria, Germany,<br />

France, England, and the United States. Her<br />

artwork hangs in many public and private<br />

collections worldwide.<br />

She undertook many study trips to Europe, Come Fly With Me<br />

Asia and the USA. In 1993 she moved to New<br />

York, USA, where she worked at the Barrett-House Art Gallery and School of Arts. Since 1998 she has her own<br />

studio in Munich, Germany, as a freelance<br />

artist.<br />

Her paintings allow to capture happy<br />

moments of silence, showings others a<br />

glimpse of what's beneath the surface. The<br />

colors express the emotions and music behind<br />

all forms of life. For her color is music and<br />

music is color.<br />
