9.1 RIZIV/INAMI REIMBURSEMENT AND FEE DATA
RIZIV/INAMI put a database at our disposal, containing for each nomenclature code all
possible reimbursement and fee amounts, as well as the starting date of the validity of
these amounts. Also, a variable with a reimbursement or fee code identifying the type of
reimbursement or fee was included (an extract is shown in table AX.1).

Based on this database, two data sets were constructed (see algorithm depicted in
Figure AX.1):
• reimb2004: all reimbursement codes, their corresponding amounts, and
their corresponding fee codes valid in 2004.
• fee2004: all fee codes and their corresponding amounts valid in 2004.
