9.1 RIZIV/INAMI REIMBURSEMENT AND FEE DATA<br />
RIZIV/INAMI put a database at our disposal, containing for each nomenclature code all<br />
possible reimbursement and fee amounts, as well as the starting date of the validity of<br />
these amounts. Also, a variable with a reimbursement or fee code identifying the type of<br />
reimbursement or fee was included (an extract is shown in table AX.1).<br />

Based on this database, two data sets were constructed (see algorithm depicted in<br />
Figure AX.1):<br />
• reimb2004: all reimbursement codes, their corresponding amounts, and<br />
their corresponding fee codes valid in 2004.<br />
• fee2004: all fee codes and their corresponding amounts valid in 2004.
