This work observes the literary Don Quijote de la Mancha in an ontological-
poetic point of view divided in three periplus with the hermeneutical aspect. Don
Quijote, the philosopher-Knight went out to search for Cure and between birth and
death experiences the fundamental existential until the conjugation anguish-death
includes de “can-be” pastor and “can die” in the list of its essencial possibilities.
Nevertheless, in the epitaph “La muerte no triunfó”. From then on, Quijote faces the
original experience, becames an hermeneutic-Knight and takes the mission to
confront the Technic – the most radical face of the ocidental thinking – disguised as a
Knight. The long ago announced fight is inevitable; and in the extinguishment of the
modernity the oblivion of the being as destination imposes to Don Quijote the
fullfillment of his heroic fate and set the occident free from the metaphysical
enchantment. In the glade of post-modernity, a singular battle takes place: the
Knight-Quijote life, narrating himself in experiencing, dis-putes with the Knight-
Quijote-fiction about the place of Truth and in the game of unveil-veil the noble-
Knight-philosopher-hermeneut-pastor-poet amplifies his spectrum of possibilities and
performs his heroic destiny. Don Quijote wins as a masterpiece.
