A eletrificação total vai
a ganhar o Campeonato do Mundo e bater a concorrência, deve
MG: After 67 years Formula One is very well established at the pinnacle
of motor sport, and it is currently undergoing a revolution to engage
with younger fans in the age of on-line gaming, eSports, streaming
services and social media. We already generate 20% of our performance
from two electric motors which are in each car, and that percentage will
increase. Fully electric will become possible, and with the automotive
industry and governments moving towards an all-electric future I am
certain Formula One will have a role in developing and popularizing the
technologies involved.
Líder:Formula 1 teams have two pilots. If in the last round of a race you
have your two pilots in the first two places, but the second one needs to
win the race in order to be the world champion, what would you do?
MG: This is an easy decision, as the first placed driver would be asked
to allow his team mate to overtake. When we sign contracts with
drivers we allow for this kind of scenario. The team has to come first,
and if one of our drivers can help his team mate to win the World
Championship and beat the competition then he will. Ultimately it is
good for the other driver too, as everyone will see that he - or she - is
a team player and so their value will increase accordingly.
