Cada vez mais é necessário adotar medidas para
melhorar as condições de preparação da terra e o
equipamento tem a função de escarificar o solo e
prepará-lo para o plantio, além de facilitar a infiltração
e retenção de água. Bruno ressalta que a
escolha deste tipo de aço se deu por ser um material
de classe de dureza superior, o que foi fundamental
para o sucesso da aplicação. “A silvicultura em geral
é um setor que sofre muito com desgaste na hora da
colheita e nos demais processos antes do branqueamento”,
acrescenta Bruno. Além disso, houve situações
em que a vida útil do equipamento chegou a
aumentar em 2.200h.
A BUSCA PARA UMA NOVA SOLUÇÃO
De acordo com Vinnicius Carmona, Supervisor
do Centro de Manutenção da Suzano Papel e
Celulose, o uso do aço Quard nas facas da lâmina
do escarificador trouxe segurança, menor custo e
maior disponibilidade mecânica. “Como tínhamos
que tombar a lâmina para realização de revestimento,
com intuito de aumentar a vida útil, trazíamos
para campo um cenário inseguro, onde precisávamos
erguer 5.000 quilos para essa função”, explica
