Por Merhy SebaEmpatia: Antídotopara o EgoísmoRibeirão Preto SP BRProfessor de Marketing e Propaganda e Publicitário – Vice-Presidente do CentroEspírita Meimei, Editor do jornal Roteiro Espírita - Ribeirão Preto-SPNão há quem não queira ser feliz na Terra e, por esse motivo, ohomem trabalha sem cessar para assegurar uma posição confortávelno meio social.Isso é louvável porque o sonho de ser feliz está na própria naturezahumana, tal como uma autorrecompensa pelo esforço para aobtenção de algo para si ou para a humanidade.Todavia, muitos pensam que ser feliz é acumular bens terrenose usufruir de todas as maravilhas de nossa morada planetária, com seestivessem em viagem turística.No entanto, na visão espiritual, a realidade é diferente.Quando reconhecermos que vivemos em um mundo de constantesdesafios de ordem moral, veremos que a almejada felicidadeabsoluta deu lugar à felicidade relativa; assim, ora estamos felizes, orainfelizes, em função dos nossos compromissos e escolhas durante operíodo em que estamos encarnados.Nesse momento, é oportuno reconhecer que somos criaturas espirituaisem experiências carnais aqui no Planeta.Enfim, somos espíritos imortais em busca de aprimoramentomoral, com vistas ao crescimento espiritual.Um dos males morais que atrasam o progresso dos espíritos queretornam à reexistência carnal é o egoísmo, uma verdadeira chaga dahumanidade que se expressa em todo o mundo – “... a fonte de todosos vícios, como a caridade é a fonte de todas as virtudes”, disseram osEspíritos a Allan Kardec. 1Se ainda mantemos esse sentimento do passado arraigado anosso íntimo, a primeira providência a ser tomada é extirpá-lo, substituindo-opor atitudes fraternas e solidárias, voltando o olhar para osoutros, como membros de uma só família, como irmãos.Queiramos ou não, o futuro espera que desenhemos um novocenário social, no qual possamos ressignificar o sentido das verdadeirasrelações humanas na família e na sociedade.Precisamos, desde já, admitir que somos uma família universala bordo de uma nave espacial, chamada Terra, a caminho da evoluçãodo Espírito. E como todo empreendimento transcendente tem seusvalores morais e éticos, precisamos, urgentemente, saber como fazeressa viagem ao futuro.Jesus, ao encarnar na Terra, teve por missão legar à humanidadeo mais perfeito e sublime Código Moral, cujas leis estão enfeixadasem Seu Evangelho. Recordemos, pois, uma delas que se refere ao relacionamentoentre pessoas: “Faça aos outros o que gostaria que lhefizessem”. 2Essa máxima de Jesus é um convite para que nos coloquemos nolugar do outro e, de forma objetiva, possamos sentir previamente osbenefícios e/ou malefícios que as eventuais atitudes irão gerar.Inegavelmente, essa atitude empática pode nos ajudar muito noprocesso de reduzir ou anular o egoísmo em nosso pensamento e emnossas ações.Façamos da empatia a atitude-chave para abrir portas a novasamizades e à preservação das antigas, bem como preparar a atmosferapsíquica do Globo terrestre para uma vivência mais fraterna entre asnações.Obviamente, essa passagem não se obtém de um dia para ooutro, mas como fruto de nossa conscientização em relação ao contatohumano mais simples, a começar pelas relações familiares e sociais.Trata-se de um processo de correção e ajustamento no meio dacaminhada e, como tal, é preciso perseverança, seriedade e, sobretudo,reeducar a vontade e o pensamento para que as ações apareçam.Com esse antídoto sugerido e aplicado sabiamente por Jesus,será possível deixar o egoísmo fora de nossos planos atuais e futuros.Pense nisso.
