of the small rivers connected not only with the area speci city but, on the whole, with the Nistru
and Prut watersheds have been revealed. A dramatic spread of an invasive alogen species,
Chinese sleeper [Percottus glehni (Dybowski, 1877)] has been observed. A new reo l species
that is very rarely encounted in this ichthyophauna, the stone loach [Barbatula barbatula
(Linnaeus, 1758)], has been also tracked down.
THE DYNAMICS OF HYDROCHEMICAL INDICES AND WATER QUALITY
OF THE PRUT RIVER. Zubcov Elena, Bagrin Nina, Ungureanu Laurenţia, Bileţchi Lucia,
Borodin Natalia, Bogonin Zinaida. //Buletinul Academiei de Ştiinţe a Moldovei. Ştiinţele Vieţii.
2011, No 1 (313), p. 103-110.
The article presents the results of the hydrochemical investigations of the Middle and
Lower Prut carried out in 2009-2010. The in uence of natural and anthropogenic factors,
which determine the water quality and, in general, the ecological state of the river is shown.
The 2010 ooding led to a dramatic increase of suspended and organic matter in the water,
while the amount of dissolved oxygen decreased to critical values that are dangerous to aquatic
organisms, including sh. Recommendations regarding the protection and sustainable use of
aquatic resources of the Prut River are proposed.
THE INFLUENCE OF THE REMEDY BIOR ON THE ONTOGENETIC CHANGES
OF CARNOSINE AND NITRIC OXIDE CONTENT IN SKELETAL MUSCLES UNDER
OXIDATIVE STRESS. Rudic V., Popa V., Gudumac V. //Buletinul Academiei de Ştiinţe a
Moldovei. Ştiinţele Vieţii. 2011, No 1 (313), p. 110-115.
The in uence of the remedy BioR on ontogenetic changes of carnosine (CS) and nitric
oxide (NO) content in skeletal muscle (SM) of rats with oxidative stress (OS) induced by CCl4
was studied. BioR was found to induce normalization of CS and NO content in young animals
and reduce the de cit of CS in old animals. The treatment of adult and old animals with BioR
leads to a substantial increase in NO content, due, probably, to the restored NO-synthase activity
in SM. 14 references, 2 tables
ONTOGENETIC CHANGES OF THE SULPHATE LEVEL IN THE BONE UNDER
PHYSIOLOGICAL CONDITIONS, EXPERIMENTAL OSTEOPATHY, AND AFTER
ADMINISTRATION OF SOME REMEDIES. Tagadiuc O., Rudic V., Gulea A. //Buletinul
Academiei de Ştiinţe a Moldovei. Ştiinţele Vieţii. 2011, No 1 (313), p. 115-120.
We studied ontogenetic changes in the level of sulfates in bone in physiological conditions,
in experimental osteopathy and after the administration of the remedy BioR, copper coordination
compounds CMT-28 CMT-67, and their combinations. The concentration of sulphates in the
bone tissue of control animals, with experimental osteopathy and after the administration of the
remedies are characterized by similar ontogenetic dynamics – the minimum level was detected
in young animals and the maximal – in the adult. The concentration of sulphates was not
signi cantly affected in experimental osteopathy. Administration of BioR, CMT-28, CMT-67,
and their combinations enhanced the concentration of sulphates in the bone tissue of rats with
experimental OP, which is an evidence of increasing concentration of sulphatated proteoglycans,
indispensable for bone formation.
