Here, on the 14th ofOctober 1944, 29 Romanian peasants and 3 Jews from Mureș, Cluj and Maramureș counties werekilled by Hungarian retreating troops. The monument of Moisei is the work of the sculptor Vida Géza(1913 - 1980).
