is extremely important for us to pass the inspection of
such a powerful institution and be deemed worthy of
being the first airport accredited to the Airport Health
Accreditation certificate. The fact that Istanbul Airport
has international certificates at the health point is proof
that ensuring the health and safety of our passengers
and employees is always our first priority. The “Airport
Health Accreditation Certificate” should definitely be
seen by all airport operators as proof that we are more
ready to build passenger trust. Considering that Istanbul
Grand Airport is the hub of the world, obtaining the
“Airport Health Accreditation” certificate is proof that
our measures are in international standards. I would
like to point out that; we will never compromise on the
hygiene standards attained at Istanbul Airport.”

“I was very impressed with the industry’s success in
adapting rapidly to new realities and implementing new
protocols based on globally consistent procedures,”
said Luis Felipe de Oliveira, Director General, The
Airports Council International (ACI), he continued, “We
congratulate Istanbul Grand Airport for being the first
airport to be accredited within the scope of our newly
implemented Airport Health Accreditation program. This
accreditation is proof that Istanbul Grand Airport accepts
passenger, personnel and public health as its focal point.
While this provides passengers and employees with high
health and hygiene standards that are globally accepted
when our industry has stepped into the resumption of
operations and subsequently, - these standards will help
people regain their confidence in air travel - on the one
hand it will be critical in the period when it will prepare
to continue its ongoing operations.”
Olivier Jankovec, the Director General of the European
Region of Airports Council International (ACI), spoke as
follows; “The recovery process after this unprecedented
crisis required the rapid and comprehensive
implementation of global standards developed jointly by
the competent authorities in the entire aviation system.
As ACI, we have collaborated with ICAO, EASA and
ECDC to help prepare a plan for the safe continuation
of airport operations in the midst of the ongoing
Covid-19 outbreak. This plan, which is the basis for the
preparation of a healthy passenger experience guide
at airports developed by ACI Europe, was completed
with the implementation of the new Airport Health
Accreditation program. I would like to proudly point out
that the first airport to receive this accreditation was a
European airport - which undoubtedly reveals that the
approach of putting passengers with health concerns in
the focus has been eagerly adopted by the airports of
our region. Congratulations to all Istanbul Grand Airport
team!”

“Sektörün, yeni gerçekliklere hızla adapte olarak küresel
çapta tutarlı prosedürlere dayalı yeni protokollerin
uygulamaya alınması hususundaki başarısından çok
etkilendim” diye konuşan Uluslararası Havalimanları
Konseyi (ACI) Genel Direktörü Luis Felipe de Oliveira;
“Yeni uygulamaya alınan Havalimanı Sağlık Akreditasyonu
programımız kapsamında akredite olan ilk havalimanı
olmasından ötürü İstanbul Havalimanı’nı kutluyoruz. Bu
akreditasyon, İstanbul Havalimanı’nın yolcu, personel
ve halk sağlığını odak noktası kabul ettiğinin bir kanıtı.
Bu, sektörümüzün operasyonlara yeniden başlama
aşamasına adım attığı ve akabinde, bir yandan yolcu ve
çalışanlara global çapta kabul gören yüksek sağlık ve
hijyen standartları sağlarken - ki bu standartlar insanların
hava yolculuğuna olan güvenlerini yeniden kazanmasına
yardımcı olacaktır - devam eden operasyonları sürdürmeye
hazırlanacağı şu dönemde kritik öneme sahip olacaktır.”

Uluslararası Havalimanları Konseyi (ACI) Avrupa Genel
Direktörü Olivier Jankovec ise şu şekilde konuştu; “Daha
önce eşi benzeri görülmeyen bu krizden sonraki toparlanma
süreci, yetkili otoritelerce ortak geliştirilen global
standartların tüm havacılık sisteminde hızla ve kapsamlı
biçimde uygulamaya alınmasını gerektirmiştir. ACI olarak,
devam eden Covid-19 salgınının ortasında havalimanı
operasyonlarının güvenli şekilde sürdürülebilmesine
yönelik bir plan hazırlanmasına yardımcı olmak amacıyla
ICAO, EASA ve ECDC ile ortak çalışmalar yürüttük. ACI
Avrupa tarafından geliştirilen Havalimanlarında sağlıklı bir
yolcu deneyimi kılavuzunun hazırlanması sürecine temel
teşkil eden bu plan, yeni Havalimanı Sağlık Akreditasyonu
programının yürürlüğe alınması ile tamamlanmış oldu.
Gururla belirtmek isterim ki bu akreditasyonu alan ilk
havalimanı Avrupalı bir havalimanı oldu - ki bu durum hiç
şüphesiz, sağlık kaygıları bulunan yolcuları odak noktasına
koyma yaklaşımının bölgemiz havalimanları arasında büyük
bir istekle benimsenmiş olduğunu ortaya koymakta. Tüm
