knowledge that Slovenians are hard working people. I am still
active at Club Planica and am playing bocce and billiards. Some
time ago I won the Bocce championship doubles of NSW.
My husband and I are co-producers of the Slovenian radio
program on the community radio station VOX FM. We have
joined the broadcasting team and have worked at the station for
the past three years. We take alternative weeks with Mr and Mrs
Kropič as they are part of the Slovenian team, to prepare the
programme, as it takes a lot of work and responsibility.
There are not many Slovenians in this region therefore we have
to be more active. This piece of writing describes a small part of
my activities at our Club Planica.
To conclude I would like to add that Margaret Hatežič should be
praised for her work in getting this book published as it takes a
lot of work to accomplish this task. 50

Tam v Salzburgu sem prvič vstopila v letalo,
Srce kakor burja je divjalo,
Tja bom odšla, tja na onkraj sveta,
V tisto čudežno deželo, ki pravijo ji celina peta,
Vsega dobrega se tamkaj meni obeta,
Pohiti eroplan pohiti,
nestrpna so mi moja mlada leta!
Leta hitro so minula zavžila sem se vseh dobrot,
Domov bi rada se vrnila, da vidim moj slovenski rod,
Iščem pot a jo ne najdem, zakaj si sled izbrisala,
Edine želje sem imela, iz srca so ukradena.
