Slovenian Bishop Jenko Visits Wollongong<br />
We were too late with our story regarding the visit of Bishop<br />
Jenko in Wollongong for the November edition of Misli but<br />
hopefully it will make it in the December edition.<br />
This was the first visit from a Slovenian bishop to come to<br />
Wollongong. At the triumphal arch in front of Villa Maria<br />
Chapel in Wollongong, a large number of Slovenians awaited his<br />
arrival. Suzana and Harry Šinko greeted the bishop. Among the<br />
congregation there were many dressed in Slovenian national<br />
costume. After the mass, we had the chance to meet our guest<br />
and talk to him. He will be remembered for his down to earth<br />
manner when conversing with his fellow countrymen. Pavel<br />
Arhar was responsible for the preparation and the program of<br />
the bishop’s visit. 15<br />
