Sinusem liczby x nazywamy sinus kąta skierowanego, którego<br />
miarą łukową jest x.<br />
Analogicznie określamy pozostałe funkcje trygonometryczne.<br />
Okresem podstawowym funkcji sin x jest liczba 2π. Zatem<br />
sin(x + 2kπ) = sin x dla dowolnej liczby całkowitej k. Analogicznie<br />
