The most noticeable difference between the female partners of men with and withoutprostatitis was the occurrence of C. amycolatum – this species was found in all cases offemale partners of prostatitis patients, but it was not found in the genital tract of controls’female partners. Other species found in the female genital tract were Arthrobacter cumminsii,Brevibacterium mcbrellneri, C. seminale, C. minutissimum, Propionibacterium avidum/acnesand some corynebacterium and propionibacterium species that we could appoint only on thelevel of genus.The next step of this reasearch should contain mass sequencing what helps us to determinethe quantity of coryneform bacteria and other microbes using the material taken directly fromthe patients.24
