FCI GLOBAL INDUSTRY ACTIVITY REPORT FOR 2016 | 39
a) Domestic and International Business
The survey also looks at the breakdown between domestic and international
business. Where reported, the proportion of Export Factoring was
given as a mean 19% of individual country turnover and Import Factoring
2.5% by country – so, as discussed above, a typical country would present
these levels. These proportions are virtually unchanged from those reported
in 2015. Poland is close to this typical profile with the proportions being
79%, 20% and 1% respectively.
b) Industry dynamics
2016 global GDP figures remain to be fully finalised and so it is a little
premature to be able to state for sure the GDP penetration of the Industry;
however, it seems unlikely that the figure of c. 3.8% measured for 2015 will
be substantially different this year. For Poland, the figure is around 9.4%.
Advances against invoices were estimated to be in order €360Bn at the end
of the year – this figure is drawn from actual reported advances where they are
available and from imputed average days outstanding calculations. Again, this
is broadly the same as last year’s figure. For Poland, the figure is around €2.85Bn.
