Another change and transformation trend in the<br />
sector is the use of Industry 4.0 applications to<br />
increase efficiency and quality within automation.<br />
The other change dynamic of the sector,<br />
especially in middle and upper segments, is the<br />
preference of supply centers that are close by in<br />
order to reach the market quickly.<br />
When we look at it from the point of Turkey, it is<br />
obvious that Turkish ready to wear section chain<br />
will go into a digitalization process and automation<br />
will increase in the production side of things.<br />
Also, demand for products that are sustainable<br />
and produced in compliance with environment,<br />
health and safety standards is increasing from day<br />
to day. When we look at it from the point of the<br />
firms, the serious increases experienced lately in<br />
production, raw materials and workmanship are<br />
causing hardship. On the other hand, the international<br />
competition in this sector is becoming harder<br />
and intensifying. The need for transformation<br />
and change in the sector has been accepted by<br />
the sector players; however the financial resources<br />
of most companies are limited to make these<br />
transformation and changes.”<br />
On the road to a successful export, are you<br />
walking with or in spite of the government?<br />
In other words is the government helping you<br />
enough regarding this topic or are you running<br />
into official obstacles more?<br />
“In global markets, in order to increase the competition<br />
power of our sector, we work in great<br />
harmony and cooperation with our government.<br />
Our Ministry of Economy has offered incentives<br />
to entrepreneurs in the last two years likes of<br />
which have not been offered in the history of our<br />
Republic. I must express improvements such as<br />
the VAT reform our Ministry of Finance announced<br />
months ago will provide a great benefit to<br />
our sector. Also the financing facilities provided<br />
for us by Eximbank and Credit Guarantee Fund,<br />
in support of exporting, gives comfort to the sector.<br />
In short, to turn the wheels of economy faster<br />
and carry our country to the 2023 targets, there<br />
is a very strong political decree in place. Once<br />
we surpass the usual bureaucratic bottlenecks<br />
we witness from time to time, I believe we will<br />
move forward much faster.”<br />
In reaching the 2023 targets, what are your<br />
expectations from the government or the issues<br />
you would like resolved?<br />
“First of all, the additional taxes and protection<br />
precautions, placed on the raw materials of our<br />
sector, are increasing our cost and affecting<br />
our competitive power in a negative manner.<br />
If there is a need of incentives for textile and<br />

hedefimizi ulaşılabilir görmekteyiz.”<br />
Dünyadaki siyasi ve ekonomik gelişmeleri<br />
(mikro ve makro olarak) dikkate alarak<br />
değerlendirecek olursak firma, sektör ve<br />
ülke açısından neler söylemek istersiniz?<br />
“Ülke açısından bakarsak, dünya 2017 yılını<br />
zor bir yıl olarak geçirmiş olup, siyasi ve<br />
ekonomik anlamda birçok riski de barındırmaktadır.<br />
Sektörde yaşanan önemli<br />
bir değişim internet perakendeciliğinin<br />
yükselişi olup satışlarda internetten satış<br />
kanalının payı artmaktadır. Sektörde<br />
ayrıca Kurumsal Sosyal Sorumluluk temelli<br />
ülkeler ve markalar arası bir rekabet söz<br />
konusudur. <strong>Tekstil</strong> ve hazır giyim sektöründe<br />
sürdürülebilirlik ve uyum trendleri<br />
kapsamında özellikle gelişmiş ülkelerde<br />
tüketicilerin sürdürülebilir ürünlere ve<br />
çevre, sağlık ve güvenlik standartlarına uygun<br />
işletmelerde üretilmiş ürünlere talebi<br />
giderek artmaktadır. Sektördeki diğer bir<br />
değişim ve dönüşüm trendi ise otomasyon<br />
kapsamında üretimde verimliliği ve kaliteyi<br />
artırmak için Endüstri 4.0 uygulamalarının<br />
kullanımı yaygınlaşmaktadır. Sektörün<br />
diğer bir değişim dinamiği olan yakından<br />

üst segmentte pazara hızlı erişim için yakın<br />
tedarik merkezleri tercih edilmektedir.<br />
Türkiye açısından bakıldığında önümüzdeki<br />
dönemde Türk hazır giyim sektörünün<br />
tedarik zincirinin dijitalleşme sürecine gireceği<br />
ve üretim tarafında da otomasyonun<br />
artacağı öngörülmektedir. Ayrıca ülkemizde<br />
tüketicilerin sürdürülebilir ürünlere<br />
ve çevre, sağlık ve güvenlik standartlarına<br />
uygun ürünlere talep de günden güne artmaktadır.<br />

ise son dönemde üretim, hammadde ve<br />
