These are three nice names for three modern buildings with a beautiful view of majestic Ještěd, located in the middle of a large garden area in Liberec’s serene
Františkov quarter.
These houses are linked by a common goal. Here is good quality and
kind care for everyone who has been in the Seniors Home in Liberec
- Františkov, their new home since 2003. These are people aged 65
and older for whom needed help can no longer be ensured via their
family and home care. They also include seniors whose health condition
requires that they receive regular assistance from another person.
It is interesting that even though there are three of these houses
and the links between them are only on fl oors -1 and -2, where all of
the facilities are also located, because of the provided services and
shared vision they form a single object. The Seniors Home in Liberec
- Františkov provides two social services. It is divided into an abode
for seniors and an abode with a special healthcare regime. Both provide
on-site services with 24-hour care. The abode for seniors with
a capacity of 166 beds is located in all three houses, while the abode
with a special healthcare regime is located only in the building called
Adam on the fourth fl oor and in the building called Cilka on the third
fl oor. Seniors suffering from Alzheimer’s disease will fi nd the care
and assistance they need there. The abode with a special healthcare
regime also holds the Vážka certifi cate from the Czech Alzheimer’s
Society. It serves as documentation that at our facilities we know how
to care for seniors affl icted with this illness or with another type of
dementia. And an integral part of the cooperation with the Czech Alzheimer’s
Society is the operation of the contact point. It provides not
only advice and consultations for people with Alzheimer’s disease
or other types of dementia and to members of their families but also
preventive memory testing. Professional care is not all that clients in
the Františkov Seniors Home can receive. They also can enjoy comfortable
living, pleasant strolls under tall trees in the large garden and
of course various leisure options. New friendships are formed over
coffee in the local café, while both ladies and gentlemen can use the
hair salon or get a pedicure. Religious clients have a chapel available,
which regularly holds worship services. And everyone is happy
to meet in the music club or in the community lounge. And of course
they also meet during joint events, of which there are plenty throughout
the year both in the interior spaces and in the pleasant outdoor
environment. Children from the local schools also regularly bring joy,
laughter and singing, while the Seniors Home is also involved in the
Christ Child’ Grandchildren project. Many clients from Františkov can
therefore make new friendships and have new people around them.
Adam, Bára and Cilka. Three names, three houses that honour people,
show respect for each individual client as well as professionalism.
They assist the interconnected lives of dozens of people who
enjoy each day. This is the Seniors Home at Liberec - Františkov.
