gaśniczego. Brano pod uwagę jego opracowanie własnymi
siłami, ale uznano to za działanie nieefektywne kosztowo, zdecydowanie
podnoszące cenę systemu, a na dodatek wymagające
wiele czasu. Skoncentrowano się zatem na znalezieniu
gotowego rozwiązania, które spełniałoby wszystkie wymagania
postawione przez twórców systemu i spełniającego normy
militarne. Za pośrednictwem specjalizującej się w systemach
przeciwpożarowych i sygnalizacji pożarów firmy Savi Technologie
Sp. z o.o. Sp.k., udało się dopasować do STOPFIRE’A
odpowiedni system zaworów i butle ze środkiem gaśniczym
o krótkim czasie opróżniania. Komponenty te były już wcześniej
stosowane w systemach przeciwpożarowych wozów bojowych,
m.in. w Izraelu, Wielkiej Brytanii i Austrii.
W WCBKT S.A. przeprowadzono wszystkie niezbędne prace
integracyjne i sprawdzenia systemu na poziomie zakładowym.
To zaś umożliwiło opracowanie warunków technicznych
do systemu i jego programu badań, które posłużyły jako podstawa
merytoryczna do badań systemu, które w okresie luty
2016 – sierpień 2017 r. przeprowadził Wojskowy Instytut Techniki
Pancernej i Samochodowej. Przeprowadzone sprawdzenia
potwierdziły zgodność z parametrami zapisanymi w warunkach
technicznych, m.in. uzyskano: czas wykrycia strumienia
kumulacyjnego i/lub wybuchu paliwa w przedziale załogi
poniżej 3 ms, czas ugaszenia standardowego
pożaru testowego
w przedziale załogi 100 ms na
podstawie analizy obrazów
wideo i 117 ms na podstawie
obrazu termowizyjnego (wg warunków
nie dłużej niż 250 ms);
czas ugaszenia wybuchu paliwa
wypływającego pod ciśnieniem –
odpowiednio – 74 i 72,8 ms (wg
warunków nie dłużej niż 250 ms);
czas ugaszenia standardowego
pożaru w przedziale napędowym
ok. 1 s (wg warunków nie dłużej
Centralka sterująca CS-01.
CS-01 control unit
niż 20 s). Sprawdzono też odporność na zakłócenia: żarówki
samochodowe, żarówki oświetleniowe, świetlówki, lampę
błyskową, lampę stroboskopową, płomień zapalniczki gazowej,
płomień zapałki, zapalony papieros, grzejnik elektryczny,
światło słoneczne, ogień z broni strzeleckiej; narażenia mechaniczne,
klimatyczne i elektromagnetyczne.
Uzyskanie certyfikatu przez system STOPFIRE w docelowej
postaci umożliwiło dalsze zacieśnienie współpracy IOE WAT
i WCBKT S.A. w tym projekcie. 28 września 2017 r. podpisana
została umowa pomiędzy WCBKT S.A. i Wojskową Akademią
Techniczną, na mocy której WAT udzieli wsparcia WCBKT S.A.
w realizacji wdrożenia systemu do produkcji seryjnej. Zgodnie
z zapisami umowy jej strony wspólnie zobowiązują się również
do zabezpieczenia funkcjonowania systemu STOPFIRE w całym
cyklu jego życia. Oznacza to długoterminową współpracę
i zarazem współudział IOE WAT w modernizacji systemu, zmianach
jego konstrukcji i opracowywaniu kolejnych wersji.
Pomyślne badania i przejście do fazy wdrożenia systemu
do produkcji zintensyfikowało też działania marketingowe. Na
odzew nie trzeba było długo czekać, a zainteresowanie instalacją
STOPFIRE’A w swym najnowszym pojeździe wyraziła Huta
Stalowa Wola S.A. Chodzi o jeden z kluczowych dla przyszłości
stalowowolskiej firmy i niezwykle istotnych z punktu widzenia
modernizacji Wojsk Lądowych programów – Nowego
Bojowego Pływającego Wozu Piechoty Borsuk. Współpracę
rozpoczęto już w 2017 r., a STOPFIRE będzie zintegrowany z
innymi systemami pojazdu poprzez magistralę komunikacyjną
CAN. W 2019 r. system został zainstalowany w modelu funkcjonalnym
Borsuka. W docelowej konfiguracji w przedziale
solution that would meet all the requirements set by the
creators of the system and meet military standards. Through
a company specializing in fire protection and fire signaling systems,
Savi Technologie Sp. z o.o. Sp.k., it was possible to adapt
to the STOPFIRE the appropriate valve system and bottles
with extinguishing agent with a short emptying time. These
components have already been used in combat vehicle firefighting
systems, including in Israel, Great Britain and Austria.
At WCBKT S.A. all necessary integration works and system
checks were carried out at the plant level. This in turn enabled
the development of technical conditions for the system
and development of its test program, which served as the
substantive basis for system tests. The tests were carried out
by the Military Institute of Armored and Automotive Technology
from February 2016 till August 2017. The field evaluation
confirmed compliance with the parameters recorded in the
technical conditions, including measured parameters: time
of detection of the cumulative stream and/or fuel explosion
in the crew compartment below 3 milliseconds, time of extinguishing
a standard test fire in the crew compartment 100
milliseconds based on video image analysis and 117 milliseconds
based on a thermal image (according to requirements, it
should be no longer than 250 milliseconds); time to extinguish
the explosion of fuel leaking under
pressure – 74 and 72.8 milliseconds,
respectively (according
to requirements, it should be no
longer than 250 milliseconds); extinguishing
time of a standard fire
in the drive compartment about
1 s (according to requirements,
it should be no longer than 20 s).
Interference immunity was also
checked: car bulbs, lighting bulbs,
fluorescent lamps, flash lamp,
strobe lamp, gas lighter flame,
match flame, lit cigarette, electric
heater, sunlight, fire from small arms; mechanical, climatic and
electromagnetic exposure.
Obtaining the certificate by the STOPFIRE system in its final
form enabled further strengthening the cooperation between
IOE WAT and WCBKT S.A. in this project. On September
28, 2017, an agreement was signed between WCBKT S.A. and
the Military University of Technology, under which WAT will
support WCBKT S.A. in the implementation of the system for
serial production. According to the provisions of the agreement,
its parties jointly undertake to support the functioning
of the STOPFIRE system throughout its entire life cycle.
This means long-term cooperation and at the same time the
IOE WAT’s participation in system modernization, changes in
its design and development of subsequent versions.
Successful research and the transition to the implementation
phase of the production system also intensified marketing
activities. It didn’t take long to get respond, and Huta
Stalowa Wola S.A. expressed interest in installing STOPFIRE
in its latest vehicle. This is one of the key for the future of
the Stalowa Wola company and the programs extremely important
from the point of view of the modernization of the
Land Forces – the New Borsuk Amphibious Infantry Fighting
Vehicle. The cooperation started already in 2017, and STO-
PFIRE will be integrated with other vehicle systems via the
CAN communication bus. In 2019, the system was installed
in the Borsuk functional model. In the ultimate configuration,
four temperature sensors and two extinguishing agent cylinders
will be installed in the propulsion compartment, while
four optical heads and three extinguishing agent cylinders in
