1 Adverbs of frequency go before / after<br />
active verbs.<br />
2 They go after be.<br />
3 Some adverbs of manner (quickly, quietly,<br />
happily, etc) can go before / after the<br />
main verb or before / after the object. eg.<br />
She quickly started the car. She started the<br />
car quickly.<br />
Some adverbs (surprisingly, amazingly,<br />
suddenly, etc.) can also go at the<br />
beginning of a sentence. In this position<br />
they have more / less emphasis.<br />
