The H6 has Key-less Entry, Push-
Button Start, Anti-theft Immobiliser,
Burglar Alarm, and Delayed-Lights-
Off. There is button selected in-traffic
stop/start functionality. Electronic
Gear changes are affected via a rotary
knob on the centre console, and
include a manual mode with steeringwheel
paddle-shifters, that will change
the gear but be over-ridden if not
advisable at the current speed.
Excellent, but probably of most use
when towing, which runs up to 750kg,
and 2000kg when braked.
The cabin is well designed, with
plenty of space all round in front and
back, sideways, leg wise and overhead.
This vehicle is a bit bigger than both
the before mentioned competitors.
The dash looks good, minimalist, with
chrome-look strip separating the wide
upper and lower slanting surfaces,
attractively augmented only by the
two similar sized displays. Steering is
reach and height adjustable.
The centre console is useful, with
phone storage space at the back with
optional wireless charging, USB (with
data connection) and 12V outlets
underneath, accompanied by USB
outlet-only behind the console for the
rear. There is a large cubby hole under
the console, and good storage in the
doors and near the tailgate. With the
rear seats folded down you have
heaps of cargo space. There is a sunglasses
rack, and the sun visors both
have vanity mirrors and lights, it is
above Premium spec.
There are very few selection knobs
on the dash and console, just about all
options being handled by the very
smart looking 10.3 touch info screen,
wide and fairly narrow, and about
the same size as the driver display,
which has digital only Tacho and
Speedo, and a good assortment of other
info functions. Aircon is dual zone for
the Ultra and Lux. There is a 6 speaker
AM/FM radio system. There is Apple and
Android connection, and Navigation via
these only.
Extras coming with the top of line
Ultra spec include panoramic sunroof,
4WD, electric tailgate, 19'' alloys,
wireless phone charging, full auto
parking, Heads Up Display, 12.3'' info
screen, 8 speakers.
Concerning active and passive safety
features, the H6 had a 5 star ANCAP
safety rating in 2022.
It has a very comprehensive suite of
safety equipment, most of it standard to
all spec levels. Most notably, there is an
overhead all round view displayed
courtesy of 4 cameras, front/rear and on
side mirrors, invoked by button or
reverse gear, above Premium spec.
There are air bags all round, lane keeping
alerts and assist, rear and side traffic
alerts, AEB, full auto parking for Ultra,
intelligent cruise control, traffic sign
recognition, traction control, hill
descent control, tyre pressure
monitoring and display, the list goes on
extensively.
