Children 2 –6 yearsThe child still needs food from all four food groupsevery day (see page 10)Give your child a combined vitamin and mineraltablet daily if you are not sure that all its needs arecovered. If in doubt, ask your doctor.Children who get a lot of candy, ice cream, fruitdrinks, juice, chips and cake become malnourished.They tire quickly, can be very restless, sluggish andprone to illness. Maintain the good habits (see page28), this will also prevent your child from becomingoverweight. Children need approx. a 1/2 litre of milkevery day in order to get enough calcium to growhealthy and strong bones.It is important that you attend the preventivemedical examinations and let your child bevaccinated by your doctor to ensure its properdevelopment and health.Børn 2-6 årBarnet skal stadig have mad fra alle 4 fødevaregrupper hverdag (se side 10)Hvis du ikke er sikker på, at dit barn får, hvad det har brugfor, skal du give det en vitaminpille med mineraler hver dag.Tal evt. med din læge om det.Børn, som får meget slik, is saftevand, juice, chips og kager,bliver fejlernærede. De bliver hurtigt trætte, kan være megeturolige, uoplagte og bliver lettere syge. Hold fast i de godevaner (se side 28), så forebygger du også, at dit barn bliverovervægtigt. Barnet har brug for ca. 1 ⁄2 liter mælk hver dagfor at få kalk nok til, at knoglerne bliver sunde og stærke.Det er vigtigt, at du følger de forebyggende børneundersøgelserog får dit barn vaccineret hos jeres læge for at sikrebarnets udvikling og helbred.36
