Section Benelux, Jack Schonkeren:
Jack Schonkeren reported on the BeNeLux section. This report had been written by Theo Kerssens.
The Technology Forum in Luxemburg was praised.

Section France, Vincent Redonnet:
Mr Redonnet again thanked the EDA for the cordial welcome received as a new EDA section. He emphasized the
changes in companies and on the capital markets and the resulting challenges also relevant for diemakers.
One of the objectives of the EDA aims Mr Redonnet pointed out, was to find interesting and important items on the
agenda for the meetings which should motivate the members and candidates thinking about joining to participate
in the meetings. Furthermore, events like the one in Luxemburg can and must show what the profession is capable
of. The modern diemaker produces dies of a technically high quality requiring collaborators with a large amount of
know-how and experience. Dies are not staple commodities which fact should also be acknowledged and rewarded
by the customers.

Section Italy, Mr Brignoli:
To begin with Mr Brignoli also thanked the EDA for its support in founding the Italian section. The idea to launch an
Italian EDA section had been born at last year’s EDA event in Luxemburg. The first meeting of interested diemakers
took part in December 2007 and during the following months further constituent assemblies were held in order to
decide on the statutes and the members of the executive committee. The EDA Italia has officially been founded on
23rd May 2008.
At the moment, the section consists of 16 members, all of whom are diemakers! Further diemakers and suppliers
have signalled their interest in joining. The aim is a number of at least 40 members.
Next year, when all formalities have been taken care of the initial meetings shall be held with technical subjects
which could be interesting for all members. Mr Brignoli underlined his satisfaction in now also being a member of
the big family of organized diemakers.

Section Switzerland, Rolf Styner:
As representative of the current president Marcel Loder, Rolf Styner reported on the Swiss section.
First of all, Mr Styner appealed to all those present to please also get highly involved in the study groups.

Section Nordic Group:
There was no report as there had not been any activities in the section Nordic Group. In the meantime it has been
decided to disband the section. A large part of the members wants to join the EDA directly.
Disbanding the section according to the statutes can only be effected after all financial liabilities have been met.
In 2007/2008 no membership fees have been charged. They are only now being claimed by the EDA office so that
the disbanding can proceed according to the statutes. With Martin Rönngard from Stallinjestans in Sweden, a
representative from Scandinavia was present.

The financial part is going to be settled. The statutes of both associations were presented and approved.
