L.L. ⁄ Can interested guests test the quattro’s advantages this winter?<br />
F.Z. ⁄ Yes, Audi offers the opportunity to test drive various Audi Quattro models<br />
from Dec 5 to 8, 2013 in <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Anton</strong>. And from 27 January to 4 February<br />
2014 the Driving Experience with the Offroad-Parcours will be there.<br />
L.L. ⁄ The TV-spot where an Audi quattro drives up a ski jump is legendary.<br />
Up to which gradient is that actually possible? And would it be possible to<br />
drive up a ski slope in <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Anton</strong> <strong>am</strong> <strong>Arlberg</strong> too?<br />
F.Z. ⁄ Well that depends on all kinds of factors, the tyres, for ex<strong>am</strong>ple, and the<br />
condition of the slope. On a closed, non-slippery blanket of snow the quattrodrive<br />
can do up to 80 % gradient (just like the gradient of the ski jump in the<br />
advert, actually) – but most slopes are made for skiing after all.<br />
L.L. ⁄ In winter the advantages of the four-wheel drive are obvious. But in<br />
summer?<br />
F.Z. ⁄ For cars where the focus lies on performance, four-wheel drive is always<br />
an advantage because it improves the driving dyn<strong>am</strong>ics and creates safety.<br />
In addition to that the quattro-drive naturally offers more traction on a wet<br />
and dirty road in summer too.<br />

L.L. ⁄ Ever since its debut in 1980 the quattro-technology was sold more than<br />
five million times. Has driving quattro become a lifestyle?<br />
F.Z. ⁄ 44 percent of all our customers worldwide decide on buying an Audi<br />
with quattro-drive – and that share is still rising. Which means that we sell a<br />
greater share of four-wheel drive models than any other premium car maker.<br />
With our four new RS-models where the quattro-drive is standard we’ve set<br />
new dyn<strong>am</strong>ic standards for driving in 2013. Audi has been Austria’s leading<br />
premium brand since 1995, quattro sure played a big role there.<br />
L.L. ⁄ What does the future of quattro look like?<br />
F.Z. ⁄ Quattro is Audi’s most renowned and tested four-wheel-drive system.<br />
This technology will also be a central part in the future. Presently, we are<br />
looking into the various concepts to further improve efficiency and performance.<br />
Audi puts lots of energy into the development of both electronically<br />
controlled and electrified models of the quattro all-wheel drive.<br />
