Ziele − Introduction about Psychomotor Therapy as taught in the Netherlands
− Learn about 2 or 3 Dutch methodologies we use in general
− Learn about your own behavior as an therapist
− Learn to deal with (some) behavior problems through our concepts
of intervening

In this lessons you will learn about the Dutch contains of psychomotor
therapy. We will exhibit the different populations where psychomotor
therapy is common used in the Netherlands. The way of treatment in the
profession of Psychomotor therapy. There will be some theory about the
different methodologies and we will transfer this theory to practical cases.
That means you have to do some role play as a therapist/client in
games or exercises.
Subjects will be:
− Introduction to movement orientated methods.
− Introduction to body orientated methods.
− talk about and how to work with e.g. ADHD, anxieties, depressed
or other behavior problems.
− About body language, flexibility of behavior etc.
− Look at your own behavior as an therapist and how to deal with
your own personality and your client.
− Our concepts of intervening: thinking-feeling-acting (based on
the G-scheme of the cognitive behavioral therapy); practicingexperiencing
– perceiving (strategies used in psychomotor therapy
in the Netherlands);…
