KGCCI Extraordinary General Meeting
A KGCCI Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) took place on
November 5 th at the Conrad Seoul Hotel. After receiving a
general update on the state of affairs at KGCCI, the 80 attendant
KGCCI members approved an amendment to the KGCCI
Constitution which was presented by President Thomas Geyer.
The new constitution, which has been drafted by KGCCI’s
constitution committee, redefines KGCCI’s operational structure
and its relation to and cooperation within the worldwide
Chamber Network (AHK). Mr. Geyer also announced that Ms.
Zollmann had been elected Secretary General by the KGCCI
Board of Directors and would continue to stay on with KGCCI.
10 th KGCCI Korean Executive Forum
KGCCI Goose Dinner
On December 2 nd , KGCCI held its 10th Korean Executive Forum at the Conrad Hotel. After German
Ambassador Rolf Mafael’s welcoming address, the Governor of Gyeonggi province, Kim Moon-Soo,
gave his keynote speech. In front of the 50 participants, the governor provided an overview of
Gyeonggi province’s efforts to create a business-friendly environment for foreign direct investment,
especially with a view to German and Swiss companies.
On December 6 th , the traditional KGCCI Goose Dinner was held at the Millennium Hilton Hotel.
In his speech, German Ambassador Rolf Mafael looked back at political developments over the
past year. The event was attended by more than 120 KGCCI members and partners. KGCCI also
bid farewell to its long-time board member, Stefan Ernst, who will return to the Beiersdorf Headquarters
in Hamburg.
Skat Turnier
Agritechnica Delegation 2013
On November 2 nd , the KGCCI Autumn Skat Tournament was held at the restaurant Baerlin. All
participants had a great time and enjoyed the card games and the excellent German food. The
winner (“Skatkönig”), Mr. Frank Lohmoeller received the trophy from one of the two winners of
last year’s tournament, Christof Wick.
Following a request by the Korea Agricultural Machinery Industry Cooperative (KAMICO), KGCCI
organized a delegation from November 10 th to 16 th 2013 to Agritechnica – the largest exhibition
worldwide for agricultural machinery. The 12 participants had a factory tour at Lemken GmbH &
Co. KG, the leading German agricultural machinery manufacturer and visited the exhibition. The
trip provided a good opportunity for KAMICO to strengthen contacts with Agritechnica in view of
their own exhibition KIEMSTA – Korea International Exhibition of Machinery, Equipment, Science
& Technology for Agriculture.
