CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY
1. The warranty goes into effect on the day the bicycle is handed over to the purchaser.
2. The frame and front fork of Helkama bicycles sold for private consumer use come
with a 10-year warranty. Spring forks and other parts come with a two (2)-year
warranty.
3. The warranty covers defects stemming from the manufacturing and raw materials.
4. In matters concerning the warranty, we recommend that you consult the bicycle
dealership where you bought the bicycle. The warranty card must always be
presented when dealing with warranty matters.
5. Keys, air pumps, bells, tools, cables, reflectors and bicycle lights are not covered by
the warranty.
6. The warranty does not cover defects caused by regular wear and tear or deterioration,
incorrect use, competitive or rental use, faulty servicing by the purchaser, use of
bicycle parts other than the original parts, faulty repairs and mountings or changes
which have been made in the structure without the written consent of the
manufacturer.
6.1 Defects or faults in such places, which, according to servicing instructions,
require servicing or adjustment after the bike has been delivered will not be
considered faults if the defect or fault goes away after the service check and
adjustment.
6.2 Small superficial defects which do not effect the solidity of the product or the
product’s capacity for use, and small irregularities in the painting or chrome which
have been caused by weathering are not considered to be faults covered under the
warranty.
6.3 The warranty does not cover defects which arise from uses of the bicycle which
can be considered to deviate from normal private use of bicycles.
7. The warranty does not cover defects which arise during transportation.
8. Concerning the spokes, see the bicycle instruction manual, pages 5 and 7.
