1 | San Juan de Díos Hospital:
originally called The Hospital
Real de la Misericordia and built
by Catholic kings to look after
the poor and needy. This was
Marbella's fi rst and only hospital
until 1974.

Mudejar styles form a wellbalanced
combination in this
chapel-hospital built in the
eighteenth century.

important baroque church, made of red
stone, built in the sixteenth century on the
foun dations of the town's central mosque.

Das ursprünglich »Hospital Real
de la Misericordia« genannte Bauwerk
wurde auf Geheiß mehrerer
katholischen Könige zum Dienste
der Armen und Bedürftigen errichtet
und war bis 1974 das
einzige Krankenhaus der
Stadt.
