In the review period 2021, unit C of Gundremmingen nuclear

power plant was operated at full load. A gross total of
11,428,585 80 MWh of electricity was produced in 2021. This was the
best-ever operating result achieved since date of commercial

operation.
On 40 9 March 2021 the plant location achieved 700 billion kWh of
gross generation.

From 16 October 2021 unit C was in stretch-out operation because
of its permanent shutdown.

On 31 December 2021, unit C was permanently shut down due to
the revision of the German Atomic Energy Act in 2011. Since the

beginning of commercial operation in 1985, unit C produced, with
a 80time availability of up to 89 %, a gross total of up to
360,000,000 MWh of electricity.

In 2021, no fresh fuel elements were delivered.
Waste management status
In 2021, a total of 23 CASTOR © casks were loaded. Thus, at
the end of 2021, 103 CASTOR © casks with each 52 spent fuel
elements out of units B and C are stored in the local interim
storage.
General points
On 5 May 2021, a recertification audit according to OHRIS
was successfully carried out.
