First AWS IoT ExpressLink Cellular Module<br />

R510AWS module, a new<br />
variant of the globally certified<br />
SARA-R5 LTE-M cellular<br />
module series. The module<br />

cloud connectivity in industries<br />
including asset tracking, smart<br />
farming, sensor monitoring, and<br />
connected medical equipment.<br />

to requiring deep expertise in<br />
embedded development, networking,<br />

The SARA-R510AWS module<br />

Running validated AWS IoT<br />
ExpressLink firmware, SARA-<br />
R510AWS minimizes integration<br />
efforts by taking care of the<br />
key steps required to access the<br />
AWS cloud, such as networking,<br />
authentication, and secure data<br />
transfer. The module also offers a<br />
range of security features, including<br />
a pre-provisioned hardwarebased<br />
root of trust, secure boot,<br />
and secure storage, as well as<br />
encrypted communication to and<br />
from the cloud, enabling secure<br />
over-the-air updates of the host<br />
processor and the module’s communication<br />
firmware.<br />

Miniature CMOS TCXO<br />
Frequency control specialist,<br />
Euroquartz has launched a new<br />
range of miniature surface mount<br />
temperature-compensated crystal<br />
oscillators (TCXO) offering frequency<br />
stability from ±2.5 ppm.<br />
The new EM211T series offers<br />
frequencies from 10 to 60 MHz<br />
with CMOS outputs in a miniature<br />
2 x 1.36 x 0.7 mm SMD<br />
package. Standard output frequencies<br />
available are 12, 20,<br />
24, 25, 26, 40, 50 and 60 MHz.<br />
The new EM211T series oscillators<br />
are ideal for use in a wide<br />
range of applications where high<br />
accuracy is important with the<br />
miniature package making these<br />
TCXOs particularly suitable for<br />
embedded systems. With LVC-<br />
MOS output into 15pF load, tolerances<br />
are available from ±2.5 to<br />
±10 ppm over the industrial temperature<br />
range (-40 to +85 °C),<br />
frequency dependent. Typical<br />
SSB phase noise at 25 °C ranges<br />
between -85 and -154 dBc/Hz<br />
for 50 MHz frequency output.<br />
Frequency stability specifications<br />
are ±1 ppm maximum<br />
against ageing in first year, ±0.3<br />
ppm maximum against voltage<br />
change for ±5% change, ±0.3<br />
ppm maximum against load<br />
change for ±10% change and ±1<br />
ppm maximum against reflow<br />
(SMD type) for one reflow,<br />
measured after 24 hours.<br />
The components are housed in a<br />
standard format 6-pad 2 x 1.36<br />
mm SMD ceramic package with<br />
hermetically sealed metal lid.<br />
Power supply voltage options<br />
are 1.8, 2.5 and 3.3 V ±5% with<br />
current consumption of 8 mA<br />
maximum at 3.3 V.<br />
