DANGER OF EXPLOSION!<br />
Petrol is highly infl ammable!<br />
• Always turn off the engine when refuelling.<br />
• Do not smoke or stand near to naked lights or fl ames whilst refuelling.<br />
• Make sure that no petrol drips onto the vehicle (engine, exhaust system!)<br />
during refuelling.<br />
DANGER OF FIRE OUTBREAK!<br />
The exhaust pipe gets very hot.<br />
• Always make sure that no highly infl ammable materials (e.g. hay, leaves,<br />
grass, clothing and luggage) come into contact with the hot exhaust<br />
system during motion, idling or parking.<br />
DANGER OF DAMAGE!<br />
The life and performance of the engine will be infl uenced decisively by<br />
running in correctly for the fi rst <strong>50</strong>0 km.<br />
• Read the run-in regulations on page 18 carefully before your fi rst ride.<br />
Safe handling of your vehicle<br />
A vehicle in a techncially perfect condition is the prerequisite for your safety and the<br />
safety of other road users. Therefore always make the checks described on pages 15/16<br />
before setting off.<br />
Protective clothing<br />
• Driver and passenger must wear helmets.<br />
• For your own safety you sould wear suitable strong clothing and shoes. Wear preferably<br />
conspicuous, bright colours so that other traffi c participants can see you<br />
better and more quickly.<br />
• Never wear loose fi tting garments because they can get caught in the wheels or<br />
the steering.<br />
