Read the run-in regulations carefully before your fi rst ride.<br />
To prolong the life of the engine, do not give full throttle until the engine<br />
WARNING is warm.<br />
Run-in regulations<br />
The life and performance of the engine will be infl uenced decisively by running in correctly<br />
for the fi rst <strong>50</strong>0 km.<br />
• Never drive faster than 80% of maximum speed during the run-in period.<br />
• Avoid driving at full throttle or a longer distance at constant speed.<br />
• Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum speed when driving downhill to<br />
avoid damaging the engine.<br />
• Never drive at full throttle before the engine has reached its operating temperature.<br />

Maintenance<br />
The owner himself is responsible for the safety of the vehicle. You will achieve maximum<br />
road safety and an optimum condition of the vehicle by regular inspections, settings<br />
and lubrication. Therefore have the inspections specifi ed in the maintenance schedule<br />
(cf. page 29) carried out by an authorised garage.<br />

MORTAL DANGER DUE TO MISCONDUCT!<br />
Driving with worn or damaged tyres can lead to you losing control of the<br />
vehicle and to accidents with injury.<br />
Have the tyres changed immediately in case of insuffi cient tread and obvious<br />
damage (e. g. by shattered glass) or cracks.<br />
