Frau Olbrich, was sind wichtige Highlights in diesem Jahr? 

Wir haben sehr viel Neues auf die Beine gestellt. Das Areal „German 

Christmas Crafts“ rückt hochwertige Handwerkskunst „Made in Germany“ 

ins Rampenlicht und fördert das ohnehin hohe internationale 

Interesse. Im Christmasworld Forum verspricht das hochkarätige Vortragsprogramm 

mit Fokus auf die Grüne Branche frische Ideen für 

langfristige Geschäftserfolge – mit Thementagen und der Preisverleihung 

im neuen Kreativ-Wettbewerb „Weihnachtlicher Gartenmarkt“. 

Was sollten sich Besucher keinesfalls entgehen lassen? 

Bei allen News und Highlights bleibt die Trendschau vom Stilbüro 

bora.herke.palmisano ein absolutes Muss. Wir haben ihr bewusst in 

Halle 11.1 mitten im Kernsegment Weihnachtsdekoration eine neue 

Heimat gegeben und hören immer wieder, dass die zuverlässigen 

Aussagen zu kommenden Farben, Materialien und Formen überaus 

wichtige Impulse für die Sortimentsgestaltung und für die Produktentwicklung 

geben. 

Worauf wurde diesmal besonderes Augenmerk gelegt? 

Auf den stimmigen Mix aus inspirierendem Rahmenprogramm und 

einem breiten, aber übersichtlichen Ausstellerangebot. Wir möchten 

Ausstellern wie Besuchern ein rundum erfolgreiches Erlebnis bieten, 

das in angenehmer Atmosphäre auch zum Staunen, zur Inspiration, 

zum Networking einlädt. Unser Ziel ist der ganz persönliche Mehrwert 

für jeden. 

Worauf freuen Sie sich am meisten? 

Ganz ehrlich, ich freue mich besonders auf die Sonderschau Window 

Wonderland von 2Dezign, die mit neuen Formen der Schaufenster- 

und Ladendekoration immer wieder begeistern. Ich bin gespannt, wie 

die eindrucksvolle Inszenierung von Jahrmarkt-Atmosphäre mit 

modernster Augmented Reality tatsächlich wirkt. Auch auf unseren 

diesjährigen Weihnachtsbaumdesigner Jean-Charles de Castelbajac 

freue ich mich. Denn die Fortführung der Kooperation mit „Les Sapins 

de Noël des Créateurs“ trägt erneut einen Hauch Haute Couture in 

unsere Messehallen.

Ms Olbrich, what are the important highlights this year? 

We have set up quite a lot of new things. The “German Christmas 

Crafts” area puts the spotlight on top-quality craftwork, “Made in 

Germany”, and consequently promotes the high international interest in 

these products. In the Christmasworld Forum the crème de la crème 

presentation programme focusing on the green industry promises fresh 

ideas for long-term business success – with theme days and award 

ceremony in the new “Christmas Garden Market” creative competition. 

What should visitors not miss whatever the cost? 

With all news and highlights the trend show from Stilbüro bora.herke. 

palmisano is still an absolute must. We have consciously set up a new 

home for it right in the middle of the Christmas Decoration core segment. 

And we hear time and again that the reliable statements on 

coming colours, materials and forms provide incredibly important stimuli 

for range setup and product development. 

Where is special attention being paid this time? 

Special attention is being paid to the atmospheric mix of an inspiring 

framework programme and a wide-ranging but not too numerous 

exhibitor offering. We want to offer both visitors and exhibitors a completely 

successful experience, which invites then to marvel, be inspired 

and to network. Our goal is to provide personal added value for everyone. 

What are you most looking forward to? 

Quite honestly I am really looking forward to the 2Dezign’s Window 

Wonderland special show, which impresses time and again with new 

forms of display windows and store decoration. I am really curious to 

see how the impressive staging of funfair atmospheres with state-ofthe-art 

augmented reality will actually look. I am also looking forward 

to seeing this year’s Christmas tree designer, Jean-Charles de 

Castelbajac, because continuation of the cooperation with “Les Sapins 

de Noël des Créateurs” once again brings a touch of haute couture to 

our trade fair halls.

Internationale Stars der Mode-, Design- und Architekturszene folgen jedes Jahr der Einladung von 

„Les Sapins de Noël des Créateurs“, um ihren persönlichen Weihnachtsbaum zu kreieren. Erstmalig 

zeigt eine exklusive Fotoausstellung in Halle 11.1 die mehr als 30 hochdekorierten Entwürfe, die für 

einen guten Zweck versteigert werden. Zum zweiten Mal in Folge tritt die Christmasworld als 

Hauptsponsor der Charity-Aktion auf – und holt so eins der kostbaren Designerstücke nach Frankfurt, 

um es unter den Messebesuchern zu verlosen. Modeschöpfer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac überrascht

des Créateurs” Créate every year to create their own personal Christmas tree. For the first time an exclusive photo exhibi- 

tion in hall 11.1 will show the more than 30 highly decorated designs, which will be auctioned for a good cause.

brings one of the precious designer pieces to Frankfurt to raffle it among the trade fair visitors. This time

Der Wettbewerb „Weihnachtlicher Gartenmarkt“ prämiert die besten Ideen. 

Einfallsreichtum und Mut zu neuen Wegen zeigen Gartencenter und Floristen, wenn es zur 

Adventszeit darum geht, Kunden mit außergewöhnlichen Weihnachtsmärkten, Dekorationen und 

Events zu begeistern. Besonders kreative Unternehmen sind erstmalig dazu eingeladen, sich mit 

ihren Ideen im Wettbewerb zu profilieren. Gemeinsam mit dem VDG, der Fachzeitschrift DEGA 

Grüner Garten, 2Dezign und dem Verlag TPKMedia Partners wird die Christmasworld die besten 

deutschen und niederländischen Bewerber um den neuen Award vorstellen und auszeichnen. Die 

Preisverleihungen finden am Freitag, dem 25. Januar für die niederländischen Gewinner und am 

Sonntag, dem 27. Januar für die deutschen Gewinner jeweils um 16:30 Uhr im Rahmen des 

Christmasworld Forums statt.

Advent, it’s all about encouraging customers with exceptional Christmas markets, decorations and

ideas in the competition. Together with the VDG, DEGA Grüner Garten specialist magazine, 2Dezign 

and the TPKMedia Partners publishing house, Christmasworld will present and accolade the best 

German and Dutch applicants for the new award. The award ceremony for the Dutch winners will 

be held on Friday, January 25th and on Sunday, January 27th for the German winners. Both ceremonies

Auch in der diesjährigen Frühjahrs-Sommerrevue steht 

die Ästhetik der klassischen Varietékünste im Mittelpunkt. 

George Schlick ist einer der großen Stilbildner der Bauchrednerkünste 

und ist seit vielen Jahren Stargast auf den 

großen und kleinen Bühnen der ganzen Welt. Nicht auf der 

Bühne, sondern unterm Dach des Tigerpalastes präsentiert 

sich Darkan. Der hochtalentierte Künstler aus Kasachstan 

kann förmlich fliegen – zumindest an den Strapaten über den 

Köpfen der Gäste. Frech und komisch, gefühlvoll, charmant und 

un widerstehlich – so präsentiert Alix Dudel die Weltstars des 

Varietés – und sich selbst. Im Stil der klassischen Diseuse

– this has been the aim of the Tigerpalast Varieté Theater in 

the heart of Frankfurt for the last 25 years. Today, the fascination 

of live entertainment with orchestra, chanson, cabaret 

and breath-taking artistry is no less vital than ever before. 

As in previous years, the focus of this year’s springsummer 

revue is on the aesthetic aspects of archetypal variety 

acts. George Schlick is one of the world’s leading ventriloquists 

and he has been the star guest at innumerable big and small theatres 

around the globe. By way of contrast, Darkan’s act is not to be

seen on the stage but under the ceiling of the Tigerpalast Varieté 

Theater. It is no exaggeration to say this highly talented artist from 

Kazakhstan actually flies over the heads of the audience – at 

least using the ropes hanging from the ceiling. Cheeky and 

humorous, emotive, charming and irresistible – that’s Alix 

Dudel, a classic cabaret artist who presents the evening’s world 

stars with an ironic sense of humour and great elegance. 

These and many other exceptional artists will be appearing
