operators and drivers learn from Merlo specialists how to operate telescopic machines
during comprehensive training sessions with plenty of practical exercises.
in special technical training sessions, Merlo’s sales partners from all over germany
also learn all about the inner workings of the Merlos and how they operate. and if
advice is ever needed, the technical hotline team is quick to respond. “We believe
that the service should not stop once a machine is sold. Quite the opposite,” says
technical operations manager olaf hecht.
a long-standing business relationship connects hansa-fLeX and Merlo. the
branch in bremen-arsten supplies many connection components for the telescopic
machines’ hydraulic systems. to ensure machine operators are able to get hold of
a replacement part quickly and easily if necessary, hansa-fLeX issues hose lines
and other products with a Merlo number. this enables telescopic machine dealers

ensure this doesn’t occur too often, however, all the hose lines are built into the
interior of the operating arm where they are guided over rollers and also protected
from environmental impacts.

the other thing that outsiders notice is the good working atmosphere within
Merlo, which is reflected on the one hand in the low staff turnover and expressed
on the other hand in the willingness to adopt unusual ideas. to celebrate the occasion
of the 8,000th machine as befits, Merlo showcased a finely-tuned Merlo
in unusual silver at the eurotier trade fair. it’s no surprise that this machine also
