1. Ground <strong>Training</strong> Philosophy. Newly reporting IUTs must<br />
regain NATOPS-mandated currencies, develop proper instructional<br />
technique, and become knowledgeable <strong>of</strong> their respective systems<br />
and flight preparation procedures.<br />
2. Flight Support <strong>Training</strong> Philosophy. IUTs learn fundamentals<br />
and procedures <strong>of</strong> air-to-ground and air-to-air training and<br />
become knowledgeable <strong>of</strong> current standardization. The two<br />
primary methods <strong>of</strong> instruction are CAI and MIL. A CAI is a<br />
self-paced, computer-based instructional module. A MIL is a<br />
traditional lecture format, where an instructor teaches with the<br />
aid <strong>of</strong> electronic media.
