Importance <strong>of</strong> Funding Improvements to <strong>Parks</strong> and <strong>Recreation</strong><br />

Facilities Compared to Other Priorities<br />

Respondents were asked to indicate how important they feel it is for the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Marquette</strong> to<br />

fund improvements to parks and recreation facilities compared to other priorities for the <strong>City</strong>,<br />

such as police, fire, and streets. The following summarizes key findings:<br />

Fifty-nine percent (59%) <strong>of</strong> respondents indicated that it is either very important<br />

(23%) or somewhat important (36%) to fund improvements to parks and recreation<br />

facilities compared to other priorities for the <strong>City</strong>. In addition, only 11% <strong>of</strong><br />

respondents indicated that it is not important, 5% indicated ―not sure‖, and 25% did not<br />

provide a response.<br />
