Need for <strong>Parks</strong> and <strong>Recreation</strong> Facilities<br />
From a list <strong>of</strong> 24 parks and recreation facilities, respondents were asked to indicate which ones<br />
they and members <strong>of</strong> their household have a need for. The following summarizes key findings:<br />
Six <strong>of</strong> the 26 parks and recreation facilities had over 60% <strong>of</strong> respondent<br />
households indicate they have a need for it. These six facilities include: paved<br />
walking and biking trails (81%), natural areas/hiking and biking trails (75%), picnic<br />
shelters/park pavilions (65%), historic sites and museums (64%), small neighborhood<br />
parks (62%), and large community parks (62%).<br />
