• RTcal: The reader can set the length of RTcal = 0length + 1length. So that<br />

the tag can measure RTcal and calculate pivot = RTcal/2. Now the tags will<br />

interpret a symbol smaller than pivot as data-0 and longer as data-1. Also the<br />

Tag shall consider signals longer than 4 RTcal as bad data. A CW is transmitted<br />

for a minimum of 8 RTcal before changing RTcal.<br />

• TRcal: A TRcal length is chosen by the Reader to specify the link frequency(LF).<br />

This LF is used by the tag to determine its FM0 data rate. The LF is calculated<br />

from the equation 4.1. Where DR is the Divide ratio already known by Tag<br />

specified by the manufactrer.<br />
