maintaining the boat‘s characteristics of constructional strength, ease of handling,
suitability for family sailing and day cruising and moderate cost.
1.2 The official language of the class is English and in the event of dispute over
interpretation the English text shall prevail.
1.3 These rules are complementary to the official drawings and specifications. Any
interpretation shall be made by the governing Wayfarer National Class Association
(NCA) which shall subsequently notify the Wayfarer International Committee (WIC).
1.4 The constitution of the WIC governs the procedure for changing any of these rules.
1.5 The official drawings and specifications are made and the class rules are enforced (or
their enforcement may be waived) without responsibility on the part of any member of
the WIC, or any member of any NCA or the designer of the Wayfarer, or the copyright
measure these moulds.
