BALOCHISTAN EFFLUENT DISPOSAL INTO RBOD (RBOD-III)<br />
Location (District-wise) Nasirabad, Jaffarabad Districts of Balochistan and<br />
Jacobabad, Kambar-Shahdadkot Districts of Sindh<br />
Scope of work To provide the direly needed effluent disposal facilities<br />
for existing and proposed drainage projects, the work<br />
would increase crop production of agricultural land<br />
wasted due to ponds of water, increase in cropping<br />
intensity and environment condition will improve over<br />
Gross Commanded Area (GCA) of 287,106 hectares.<br />

The Revised PC-I amounting to Rs.6,536 million submitted to Ministry of Water & Power Islamabad on 08 th March, 2008.<br />
The torrential rainfall coupled with the historic floods during June July, 2010 have adversely affected the momentum / pace of the on going<br />
contract works, as the construction activities on almost all the contracts were suspended for about 4 to 6 months. In addition to the above,<br />
Law and Order situation particularly along the sites of the works awarded under Contract Nos. R-III (d/1) & R-III (d/2) have resulted in slow<br />
rate of progress. The work is suspended by the Contractor due to Financial Crunch and Flood 2010. The work is in progress on only Contract<br />
R-III(b/1)
