ELEANOR (Renaissance Rose)
Another new variety in this wonderful range.
Large very full blooms of soft lavender.
Good continuity of bloom and quite a stunning colour.
Dark green glossy foliage, and as usual with this range, a wonderful perfume.
As we have said before we are great admirers of this group of roses as they are so reliable, healthy,
and the majority have a superb fragrance.
Highly recommended.
Bred in Denmark 1997
Introduced to the UK 2002
Also known as 'Bering Renaissance'
ELINA (Hybrid Tea Rose)
This variety is a strong, vigorous bush with excellent dense, glossy dark green foliage.
The foliage acts as a foil to the huge, magnificently formed yellow blooms.
The blooms which are often 6ins across and have 35 petals, last particularly well when picked and
are beautiful at all stages of development from bud to full bloom.
The huge blooms are perfect subjects for the exhibition bench. The first flush is a little later than
most varieties, a bonus that extends the spring flowering season, and the flower production is excellent
for the rest of the season. A particularly healthy variety which is an ideal rose for cutting.
Fragrant. Also known as 'Peaudouce'
New Zealand (Gold Star) Gold Medal 1987
'ELINA' was voted the World's Favourite Rose by the World Federation Of Rose Societies. The Federation also entered
the rose into the Society's Rose Hall Of Fame in 2006 an honour shared with just 13 other roses.
‘Elina’ as a girl’s name is a variant of Elena (Greek), and the meaning of Elina is “sun ray, shining light” .
ELISABETH (Floribunda Rose)
Breathtaking blooms of orange salmon borne in large clusters.
One of the greatest roses of our time.
Repeats well, but for the best results feed in spring and again in July. Dead head regularly to
promote quicker re-blooming.
Highly Recommended. Excellent Fragrance.
Named after Queen Elizabeth, wife of King George V1, whose father owned Glamis Castle in Scotland.
This was the first rose to be given copyright protection in Britain.
